We all have blessings from God, some small and some big. I for one have been blessed with a beautiful bride, 5 children, and the ability and opportunity to coach them in the game they love. I am a firm believer that God gives us talents and gifts that we are to use for the glorification of Jesus the Messiah, and His Kingdom.

I currently Pastor Lacey Home Fellowship in Lacey Township NJ, as well as coach and coordinate United Speed Clinic. We are a part of Restoration Fellowship International that has churches in India, Sri Lanka, and Mexico.

I WAS FORTUNATE as many of our faithful United speed Clinic supporters and athletes know, to run a missions soccer outreach to Chimalhuacan and Puebla Mexico. Thanks to your amazing donations in July of 2006 we sent over 119 pairs of cleats, over 20 pairs of socks, as well as many pairs of shinguards and 30 balls! We sent enough Lacey Soccer Jerseys there to form three youth (U-6 – U8) teams.

UPDATES – 8/10/07

I am very honored, humbled and pleased to announce the following! At the breakfast table on Wed July 26th in Mexico City, Pastor Miguel Benitez blessed me with the news that Beth Anoten, his church in Chimalhuachan, would be starting the “Escuela de Fútbol Lacey”. In other word we have begun the Lacey Fútbol Academy. We will be looking for land in or around the Chimalhuchan area to make the Academy official.

I was very fortunate to have visited the area and not only train over 120 youth soccer players but be able to watch the formation of the girls league and see them play their very first organized games. With the equipment donated from Lacey Soccer Club, and so many others each player in the 6 – 9 year old range were given a pair of cleats and a uniform shirt.

All of the athletes in the 10 – 16 year old range received a full kit! Cleats, socks, shorts and jerseys. It was estimated that over $10,000.00 of equipment was given out to help make this project come to pass.

On Saturday the 29th of July, I was also very fortunate to watch the 10 – 12 year old boys and the girls play their very first organized game, and I was able to officiate both games. It was very exciting!

On Sunday the 30th of July I was again fortunate to watch the 13 – 16 year old boys play their very first organized game. Also on that Sunday we watched the first ever Adult Woman’s game with members of the church and a nearby pick up team. Uniforms were distributed to them as well.

The tears of joy, the laughter, and the incredible atmosphere over those two days was more than I could describe. From the exciting and very loud 6 – 9 year old games, to the very intense and celebrated 10 – 12 year old games, to the finale of a great 13 – 16 year old boys game, it was an unbelievable blessing to watch.

I again want to thank everyone of you who have helped supply this outreach and truly bless unbelievable the children and their parents in Chimalhuchan Mexico. With all of my heart and souls I say to you; “May the LORD bless you and keep you, may He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you, and may He give you Shalom – Peace!”
